Kristina experienced trauma as a child, which she discusses in the episode, and through working the 12 steps of Adult Children of Alcoholics, she knows firsthand how vital it is to have the tools to communicate your feelings in order to be heard in an effective way. That’s why she is teaching these important concepts through the main character of her children’s book.
In each story, Bella Elephant gives people the space to feel their feelings, she learns an important life lesson, and the reader witnesses how her growth has a wonderful ripple effect on her community. Currently, there are 8 titles in the series with a plan for a total of 12.
